The Awesome App is an on-demand pest emergency platform that connects people who need immediate pest help (Seekers) with verified local helpers who can assist with catching or eliminating common household pests. Think of it as Grab or Uber, but for pest emergencies.
It's simple! When you spot a pest, open the app, hit the panic button, choose your preferences (helper gender, catch or kill method), and a nearby verified helper will be matched with you. Track them in real-time as they come to your rescue.
We currently operate across all of Singapore. Coverage is best in HDB estates and residential areas where we have the most helpers active.
We handle common household pests including cockroaches (flying and crawling), ants, spiders, lizards, moths, flies, and occasionally rats/mice. For more serious infestations or dangerous pests (snakes, wasps nests), we recommend our professional pest control partners.
Yes! Pests don't sleep, and neither do we. The app is available 24/7. However, helper availability may vary by time and location. Late-night requests (after 11 PM) have a small surcharge.
Safety is our top priority. All helpers are ID-verified, and we maintain a detailed rating system. You can see their profile, rating, and completed jobs before accepting. You can also chat with them in-app before they arrive. Our support team is available 24/7 if you have any concerns.
The service fee still applies since the helper has traveled to your location. However, many helpers will do a quick check around the area or give you tips for prevention. We recommend choosing "Catch Mode" if you want to capture it before it escapes!
Yes! When making a request, you can specify your preference for male, female, or no preference. We respect your comfort and safety concerns.
Average response time is under 10 minutes. The exact time depends on your location and helper availability. You'll see an estimated arrival time before confirming your request.
You can rate and review each helper after the job. If you're truly unsatisfied, contact our support team within 24 hours and we'll investigate. In cases of genuine service failure, we may offer a refund or credit.
Absolutely! You can add helpers to your favorites list and request them specifically for future jobs (subject to their availability).
No professional experience required! If you're comfortable handling common household pests, you can become a helper. We provide training resources and safety guidelines to help you get started.
Earnings are deposited to your bank account every Friday for jobs completed the previous week. You can track your earnings in real-time through the helper dashboard.
Communication is key. If the pest is too difficult to handle or the situation is unsafe, let the seeker know immediately. You can decline or cancel without penalty, though your acceptance rate may be affected. For impossible situations, we can connect the seeker with a professional partner.
This would be completely unacceptable! Please rate them 0.5★ and report to our support team immediately. We take such incidents seriously and will investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension.
You're an independent contractor. You have complete flexibility to set your own hours, accept or decline jobs as you wish, and work in your preferred areas. You're responsible for your own taxes.
Earnings vary based on your availability and area. On average, helpers complete 10-20 jobs per week, earning $150-$400. Top-rated helpers in busy areas can earn significantly more. You keep 70% of the service fee plus 100% of tips.
All helpers must submit valid government-issued ID (NRIC, FIN, or passport) which we verify. We also perform background checks and maintain a detailed rating system based on community feedback.
We have multiple safety features: ID verification, real-time GPS tracking, in-app chat (no need to share phone numbers), emergency contact alerts, 24/7 support team, and a comprehensive rating system for both seekers and helpers.
Yes. We use bank-level encryption for all data. Your phone number is masked in communications, and payment information is processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways (Stripe). We never share your personal information with third parties.
Both seekers and helpers have access to an in-app emergency button that immediately alerts our support team. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 995 first, then notify us through the app.
You're only charged after the helper successfully completes the job and you confirm service completion. If the helper doesn't show up or can't help, you won't be charged.
We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), GrabPay, PayNow, and PayLah. All transactions are processed securely through Stripe.
No hidden fees! You see the exact cost before confirming your request. The price includes base rate, distance charge, and any applicable surcharges (late night, special handling). Tips are optional.
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. If there's a genuine service failure, contact our support team within 24 hours with details. We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and quickly.
Our subscription plans give you included emergency calls, priority response, and other perks for a monthly fee. Unused calls don't roll over. You can cancel anytime, and you'll retain benefits until the end of your billing period.
